The American Dahlia Society runs on a calendar year, and your 2008 membership runs from January 1 through December 31 regardless of when in 2008 you pay your dues.  Membership: $23 individual; $26 family for North America; $40 overseas (air mail).  The post office no longer permits publications such as the ADS Bulletin to go by surface mail outside of the United States.  We therefore cannot accept any surface rate memberships for overseas members.

Inquire about special rates for students (age 18 and younger).

All ADS members receive 4 issues of the Bulletin of the American Dahlia Society (March, June, September, and December) and an annual Classification and Handbook of Dahlias with the December Bulletin.  Back issues of the ADS Bulletin are available for $3.00 each to U.S. or Canadian addresses while supplies last. All 2008 members receive the 2008 Classification Handbook.

ADS is a 501(c)(3) tax deductible organization, and all dues payments in excess of the basic level ($23 or $26) are tax deductible for income tax purposes.  ADS encourages all members to become active in local dahlia societies.

We shall gladly refer you to a local dahlia society in your area.  It would help if you would indicate the nearest important city if you are in a rural area.

ADS encourages those who are financially able to renew at a higher level to help support ADS projects.

A Patron Membership is $50. A Benefactor Membership is $100. Patron and Benefactor Memberships are both family memberships and include 2 Classification Books and Air Mail for the December Bulletin and Classification Book.

We also encourage donations (tax deductible) to the dahlia research project at Washington State University (matching grant fund).
